I’ve only been working on this blog since June, but it’s already become something I can’t pull myself away from. I started up the Pachyderm simply to share my musical interests with some like-minded individuals, of which I thought there were absolutely none in the St. Louis area. Since June I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the number of people interested in music outside of the mainstream. My readership has slowly increased over the past few months (it’s probably my mom + 10 now instead of my mom + 5) so I’ve decided to move the blog to my own domain.
WordPress.com has worked out well and makes everything easy, but I need a little more freedom. So now when I post an MP3 you have the option of just hitting play or downloading it for later and I can post videos other than those darn YouTube videos all the time. Most importantly though the blog is mine now, nobody else can delete it without warning (unless you hack me which would sort of suck a whole lot) and I have more options for posting interesting content.

Let me know what you think of the new site, there will be a few bugs for a while and I will do my best to fix them as they are brought to my attention.
